📖 Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Ssente Fields, operated by Ssente Fields Technologies Ltd, a company registered in Uganda.

By accessing or using ssentefields.com or any related mobile application, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

👤 Account Registration

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, provide false information, or engage in fraudulent activity.

🌾 Farmer Accounts

As a farmer on Ssente Fields, you agree to:

💡 Escrow protection: Buyer payments are held securely until you confirm delivery. You receive payment only after the buyer acknowledges receipt. This protects both parties.

Disputes

If a buyer does not confirm receipt within 7 days of the agreed delivery date, and there is no active dispute, funds are automatically released to the farmer.

Disputes must be raised within 48 hours of the delivery deadline. Our team will mediate and issue a final decision within 5 business days.

⚠️ Important: Ssente Fields escrow is NOT a loan, credit line, or financial product. It is a secure payment holding service. Funds held in escrow belong to the buyer until released to the farmer upon successful trade completion.

💰 Fees

Ssente Fields charges a platform fee on completed transactions. Current fee structure:

All fees are clearly displayed before you complete any transaction. We reserve the right to change our fee structure with 30 days' notice.

Early Access Waitlist members receive 3 months free on their chosen plan, as promised at signup.

🚫 Prohibited Content & Conduct

You may not use Ssente Fields to:

Violations may result in immediate account suspension, forfeiture of escrow funds, and referral to law enforcement authorities.

📊 Market Price Data

Market prices displayed on Ssente Fields are sourced from various agricultural markets and data providers across Africa. These prices are:

Ssente Fields is not liable for any losses arising from reliance on market price data displayed on the platform.

🌐 Platform Availability

We aim to keep Ssente Fields available 24/7, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, updates, or emergency fixes that temporarily take the platform offline.

We are not liable for losses arising from platform downtime, provided we act reasonably to restore service promptly.

⚖️ Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by our negligence.

🏛️ Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Uganda. Any disputes arising from use of the platform shall first be subject to good-faith mediation. If mediation fails, disputes shall be resolved by the courts of Uganda.

Users in other countries acknowledge that they are accessing an international platform and agree to Ugandan jurisdiction for platform-related disputes.

All content on Ssente Fields — including the logo, brand name, design, software, and written content — is the intellectual property of Ssente Fields Technologies Ltd.

You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without written permission.

By posting content (listings, reviews, messages) on the platform, you grant Ssente Fields a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, display, and share that content for platform operations and marketing purposes.
